Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

None live for themselves.

I love this whole realization that we are all connected, no matter if we want to be or not. That's what I have known to be true my whole life. I have been reading this AMAZING book called, The Vision and the Vow and this last chapter has been on covenant. I'm lovin' this right here...

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Christians should not be surprised by Mead's observation. Jesus had just three years in which to save the planet, and He did it primarily by recruitinf and training a dozen friends to become a faithful minroty. He did not seize political or religious power, and He often hid from the public gaze. The Son of God spent His time teaching a small group of ordinary people, and He did this primarily by sharing His life with them. This unlikely strategy turned the world upside down and continues to shape cultures and shake the very foundation of modern life.

Amen and Amen!
